Filter bags made of PPS needle felt with PI fibers (polyimide) admixture create a medium with specific properties.
This needle felt ensures a very good material resistance in a working environment typical for PPS, while the PI fibers have characteristics that significantly increase the filtration efficiency.
The mixture of these fibers, combined with a special needling technique, ensures high filtration efficiency while maintaining high air permeability. This results in a lower pressure drop and a smaller residual dust content.
There are many combinations which, depending on requirements, can be used in construction of such a felt, for example:
- PTFE fiber support
- additional microfibers
- oil and water repellent treatment
- protective treatment against acids, alkalis and hydrolysis
- two-sided glazing
